The Unamusement Park

Posted in London by Kaity Chua on November 3, 2010

On my way home from work, I came across a traveling theme park in Leicester Square. It had all the usual stars of a fair – bumper cars, cotton candy, a carousel, and tons of rides that would make heads, stomachs, and worlds spin. What caught my attention though weren’t the visitors who came, shrieked, and conquered the dizzying rides but the fair employees who yawned, stared into space, and yawned once again.

Can’t blame them for the lack of enthusiasm though. Smiling and being all jolly good for twelve hours straight is a superhuman ability.
